Bengals Advance in World Series; defeat Western Oklahoma 21-11

Monday May 25th, Enid, OK - The LSUE Baseball team (50-10) defeated Western Oklahoma State College from Altus, OK by a 21-11 score today. The 32 combined runs sets a World Series record for runs in one game.

Joey Bourgeios (12-2) earned the win pitching six innings, allowing nine hits and eight runs with two walks and four strikeouts.

Offensivley, the Bengals were led by Gabriel Thibodeaux who tied a World Series record going 5-for-5 with a double, six RBI's, and three runs scored. Jordan Bourque and Jacob Fisher added four hits and three RBI's apiece.

The Bengals will be back in action tomorrow versus Scottsdale Community College. That game was scheduled to begin at 7 pm.  However, today's game times have been changed due to rain in Enid last night.  LSUE's game is now scheduled to begin at 7:30.
